Renmark, Out of Season explores the quieter side of the Riverland year — when the heat softens, the crowds disappear, and the town settles back into itself.
Presented by Jacqui Mason at Hotel Renmark, this month-long exhibition reflects the rhythms of a place shaped by generations of river life. Much like the river itself, the hotel has witnessed changing seasons, long afternoons, celebrations, conversations, and the everyday moments that quietly define a community over time.
These works focus not on spectacle, but on familiarity — the version of Renmark that exists beyond the postcard image. Landscapes paused between seasons, empty streets, fading light, and the stillness locals know instinctively.
At its core, the exhibition is a reflection on place, memory, and the beauty found in the in-between.
